A gleaming little treasure! This lovely boxed unused 1950s Kigu powder compact is suitable for use with loose foundation or as a stylish handbag mirror. Gorgeous guilloche engravings adorn the lid, interior and base. The whole accessory has the famed Kigu gilt jeweller's finish. This coat of transparent enamel protects the brass and ensures that it will never tarnish or require any cleaning. The lid is set with a marcasite encrusted mount. All of the marcasite stones are present. The mirror gives a clear and accurate reflection. The inner lid is signed Kigu. The original box, pouch, puff and sifter are present. The catches and hinges work exactly as they should. Measures 7 cm and weighs 81.6 grams.
