A beautiful second hand refillable vintage Kigu brand powder compact.
This Kigu Convertible 17-Series (17805) compact mirror is presented with the original instruction leaflet, black wool felt pouch and powder puff.
This compact is featured on page 5 of the 1981 Kigu Ltd. catalogue.
The compact is decorated with a butterfly hovering over a lily and gilded brass throughout.
All clasps & hinges work perfectly.
The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection.
The interior base is decorated with the original pristine protective powder well insert.
The exterior base is typical for Kigu brand vanities - a gorgeous gilded guilloche engraved design.
Excellent condition!
The brass will not require cleaning or polishing because the makers lacquered the gilding.
Measures 7.7 cm diameter. Weighs 73.6 grams.
This compact is ideal for use as a handbag mirror, with all loose foundation and pressed foundation pans measuring 67mm diameter or less.
