5th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders Solid Gold Mourning Locket Necklace
A superb fully hallmarked antique gold locket which is embellished with beautifully engraved exterior surfaces and fluted borders. The full sets of hallmarks are clear and easy to read. This splendid turn of the century mourning locket was assayed* (tested for gold purity*) at Chester Assay Office in 1909.
This piece is presented with original backings, photograph, lock of hair, clear portrait protectors and frames. It is suspended from a 9 carat gold 18 inch belcher chain necklace. The hinges and catches work perfectly. The original photograph and lock of hair are removable, as you will see when you peruse the images. The images really do not do this fabulous locket justice.
