A splendid unused gold plated Stratton compact and lipstick holder set crafted by the premier British maker in the 1970s. The exterior of the Mini-Convertible powder compact and the Lipview (lipstick holder and mirror) are adorned with ornate abstract gold plated designs, which gleam as they catch the light. A joy to behold! The set is in excellent condition. The original puff, sifter, instruction leaflet and inspection docket are included. An immaculate pouch offers the compact good protection. The compact and the Lipview are signed Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND. The original lipstick dummy tube is included. The Lipview has a malleable clip and so it will fit all sizes of lipstick tubes. Both mirrors give good clear reflections. The hinges and clasps work perfectly. The compact measures 3 inches diameter and weighs 75 grams. The Lipview measures 2 1/2 inches long and weighs 11.5 grams.
The compact is suitable for all loose face powder and also pressed foundation, for example Max Factor Creme Puff and Rimmel Stay Matte.
The presentation box is clad in the original lovely black and muted gold paper. The interior base is lined with vivid gold material. The interior lid is a golden yellow with the Stratton signature in gold embossed letters.
