Such a pretty 1960s Yardley 'Lavender Seller' powder compact in good condition. The lid shows this company's most famous image in fine detail- with no loss of design. The lid lifts to reveal an excellent mirror which gives a perfect reflection. The powder well & mirror bezel have acquired a deep golden patina. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The base is decorated with a banded circular cartouche. The manufacturers included a tiny hole in the base of this compact to facilitate the easy removal of powder pans. If any powder pan was stuck a pin pushed through this hole will remove them. A simple but effective solution. Measures 3 inches diameter & weighs 63.5 grams.
