A wonderful unused vintage refillable Stratton powder compact which was crafted in the 1970s. More beautiful vintage makeup compact mirrors.
This compact is suitable for all loose face powder, as a handbag mirror and standard sizes of pressed powders. For example: Max Factor Creme Puff, Rimmel Stay Matte, Constance Carroll and Miss Beauty. This is a gorgeous vintage Stratton "Slim Convertible" compact in super condition. It is our favourite 1970s Stratton compact. The lid & base are silver plated. The lid is satinized & beautiful flowers & foliage adorn the compact. The delicate pastel colours make this charming vintage gift. This Stratton compact comes with the original features - presentation box, silk topped puff, velour edged sifter, instruction leaflet, inspection docket and black felt pouch. The lid lifts to reveal an excellent mirror surrounded by a golden bezel. The original mirror sticker is in place. It reads - 'SILVER PLATED LID & BASE'. The clasps and hinges work perfectly. The base is signed "Stratton ENGLAND" & decorated with vertical lines & tiny chevrons. Measures almost 3 1/2" & weighs 104.1. grams.
