This 'Queen Convertible' compact comes with the original box, pouch, puff, instruction leaflet, inspection docket and sifter. The lid is embellished with gilt diamond cut floral motifs. The outer edge of the lid has a gilt indented border. All the brass was lacquered at the point of manufacture and so it will maintain its beautiful sheen and never need to be cleaned. The mirror is excellent and gives an accurate reflection. The original mirror sticker reads:- 'HAND ENGRAVED MADE IN ENGLAND'. The pristine puff is signed 'Stratton'. The powder well is lined with the original immaculate pearlized protective insert. All loose powder and standard sizes of compressed powder will fit this compact. For example: Max Factor Creme Puff, Rimmel Stay Matte, CCUK and Miss Beauty. The base is decorated with the 'Woven effect' and signed 'Stratton England'. Measures 31/4" and weighs 102.7 grams.
