A pretty purse mirror. This unused Kigu 'Mayfair' compact was crafted in the 1970s.

It is suitable for both compressed and loose face powder. Max Factor, Rimmel, CCUK and Miss Beauty fit this compact. The whole compact is a striking brilliant yellow gold. The lid and base are finished in a style the makers named 'Bark effect'- like the golden bark of a tree. Set atop the lid is a gilt enamelled motif. The compact comes with the original box, pouch, puff, sifter and instruction leaflet. The whole item is in excellent condition. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. The catch and hinge work perfectly. Measures 3" and weighs 78 grams.
