Edwardian Sterling Silver Wax Seal Film Prop 1901 Henry Matthews
A particularly fine and ornate Edwardian sterling silver wax seal holder which is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1901.

The original wax is still in the holder and so this would make an ideal authentic Edwardian film prop or part of a collection. The wax would have been melted over a document and then it was impressed with a personal seal. The maker is Henry Matthews and the piece is in excellent condition. Measures 4 1/4" and weighs 30.3 grams.
