A stylish fully hallmarked sterling silver & rose gold compact mirror assayed at London in 1936.

This Art Deco compact was made by W Neale & Sons. The lid has a  geometric engine turned design and an ornate rose gold thumb catch. All catches and  hinges work perfectly. The bevelled mirror is excellent & gives a perfect reflection. It is always good to have the history of a piece and this one comes with the inscription  - ' TO JOANE FOR CHRISTINE NOV 27TH 1936 FROM JOHN'. The whole item is in very good condition. Measures just over 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" & weighs 103.6 grams.
