A superb WWI era fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold double photo locket which was crafted by Robert Pringle & Sons and assayed at Birmingham in 1915.
More high quality antique solid gold lockets.
The front features a shield cartouche framed by forget-me-nots and ornate scrollwork. The back is just as delightful - elaborate scrollwork and forget-me-nots and a full set of hallmarks can be seen. Both of the original photo frames are in place. The whole piece gleams. A wonderful love token which can not fail to impress. Such a romantic gift! The forget-me-not is the most famed floral motif symbolising everlasting love. The catches and hinges work perfectly.
