A gorgeous little vanity set! Image two shows the superb finish on these two items. The photos do not capture the true beauty of this set. This 1960s vintage Mascot brand lipstick holder and matching compact mirror have never been used. The set has been decorated with a superb gleaming gilt textured finish which has the appearance of luxurious golden linen. Each item has a diamond cut design on the lid. The compact opens to reveal a gilt interior and an excellent mirror with the original mirror sticker in place. The original sifter and instruction leaflet are present. A pristine puff and pouch are included. The original powder well sticker is in place.
The lipstick holder / mirror has the original instruction leaflet attached which reads:
THIS Mascot LIP MIRROR CAN BE EASILY EXPANDED AND WILL SLIDE OVER ANY EXISTING LIPSTICK CASE.
The mirror gives a good clear reflection.
The compact is suitable for pressed powder with standard size powder pans of 67 mm diameter. For example: Max Factor Creme Puff, Rimmel Stay Matte, Miss Beauty and CCUK. It is also suitable for loose face powder.
The original presentation box is also adorable. Champagne satin covers custom made recesses for the compact and lipstick mirror. The exterior base is golden and the lid is textured silver material. The compact measures 6.7 cm and weighs 47.2 grams. The lipstick holder measures 5.2 cm weighs 11.9 grams.
