Rare Unused Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Souvenir Stratton Compact 1953
An absolutely gorgeous and highly collectible Queen Elizabeth II Souvenir compact which was crafted to commemorate the coronation which took place in 1953.
This rare Stratton Corona loose foundation compact has never been used. The lid is decorated with stylish black enamel. Set atop the enamel is a splendid gilt crown. The cap of the crown is embellished with vivid crimson enamel. The whole compact is protected with a gilt finish which matches the deep rich gold of the crown. This golden finish is remarkably durable and it will prevent tarnishing. This lovely compact will therefore not require any cleaning. All the original accessories are present - box, black velvet pouch, guarantee rosette, puff and sifter. The catches and hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives a good clear reflection. The inner lid and mirror bezel are signed Stratton. Measures 3 inches diameter. Weighs 94.6 grams.
