Unused Cased Vintage Kigu Golden Compact Mirrors Gift Set 1977
A wonderful unused vintage gift set which featured in the 1977 Kigu Ltd. catalogue - item code 66986. The convertible compact mirror and lipstick holder mirror are embellished with the famed Kigu all gilt jeweller's finish. The whole set is in excellent condition. It will not need to be cleaned because the gilt lacquered finish will prevent tarnishing. The mirrors of both items give good clear reflections. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The original presentation case, puff, instruction leaflet and patented washable sifter are present. An immaculate pouch is also included.
The interior base of the presentation box is also a jewellery case. It is fitted with royal blue velvet. The makers also included a removable tray with custom made recesses for the compact and lipstick holder mirror which the makers named the Flippy. The presentation case is covered with white faux leather with a smart lacquered brass edge. The interior lid is lined with white satin which is signed KIGU OF LONDON.
The compact measures 3 inches diameter & weighs 95.5 grams.
The Flippy measures 2 1/2 inches long & weighs 22 grams.
This compact is suitable for use as a handbag mirror, for all loose face powder and also with pressed foundation pans measuring 67mm diameter.
