A splendid fully hallmarked antique 9 carat rose gold locket which was crafted by Albert E. Jones and assayed at Chester in 1909. This Edwardian antique is in superb condition and ready to wear straight away as it is presented on an eighteen inch antique 9 carat rose gold link bar necklace. The front is embellished with ivy leaves which frame a heart cartouche. Ivy symbolises fidelity, everlasting love and deep friendship. The back is decorated with stylized acanthus leaves which have been used to convey the desire for everlasting life since ancient times. The interior contains the original frames and space for two photographs. The catches and hinges work perfectly on both items.
