A 1950s Regent of London compact with a bone china plaque decorated with a beautiful pink rose & foliage shown in fine detail. The lid is so eye-catching - a single pink rose with deep green & subtle grey foliage. The porcelain plaque is set within a gilded brass mount, the outer edge of which is decorated with holly leaves and berries. This compact comes with the original black felt lined pouch, silk and fabric puff and velour edged sifter. The mirror bezel is signed 'REGENT OF LONDON MADE IN ENGLAND'. The mirror is excellent & gives a perfect reflection. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The powder well still has the original protective waxed paper insert. The base is all gilt & decorated with a woven design.
This Regent of London powder compact measures 7 cm & weighs 76.1 grams.
